Just two quick ones. Why on every device, PC, phone do I have to login everytime? Doesn't happen with any other website and it is quite annoying. Secondly, notifications seem to be non existant (or not obvious and easy to use if they do exist), can we get a little number next to the top right panel, as searching for who has replied to you is more difficult than it ought to be. Thanks.

I stay logged in and I think the only times I may have had to log in again was after the site software was upgraded. You probably need to check that cookies are enabled for the site, as the login status is probably saved in a cookie.

Notifications: That is a different matter. I have never discovered how to get notifications, but that may be my ignorance of the settings I need to make.

Never had to do anything with cookies for any other website and I am probably logged into about 30-40 websites on my mobile and home PC? I think the problem is more likely to be this website since it is the odd one out but I will look again.

And yes - notifications are frankly terrible here, maybe the code doesn't allow it, I don't know.

I stay logged in as well maybe some security /privacy setting on your machine ? As for notifications that does seem a bit vague 😀

As someone has just posted, if you don't come back within 24 hours it logs you out. I think this is stupid. No where else that I use does this, it should be my choice to decide as my PC and phone all have locks on them, having someone login every time just puts them off visiting, just saying. So clearly not my machine, or machines actually as you suggested. Also, notifications are vague? Sorry not following you here, I was pretty clear what I meant, and most people here have used dpreview, know exactly what notifications are, or any forum really.

I meant it was vague how or if notifications work not your comment 😀 The post about the 24hr thing came in after mine so I had not seen it , I was only putting it forward as a possibility, some privacy settings { clear browsing data etc } can impact logins . I am hoping that a threaded view comes in sooner rather than later as that is what I am used and prefer

I have asked that the 24 hour limit on logging in be increased. I will push again.

Ok. Yes quite. Same here. Threaded is useful.

What's the point of having a connection limit?

Thank you. No other website I use does this and I use a lot of them. Its unnecessary and just a pain in the ass. Notifications are sorely needed so glad it is coming.
