24-105 on FF to replace 16-55 on APS-C?

I have always been intrigued by Sony FF and thinking of buying the compact A7C as an upgrade from my A6400. As a first lens for the 7C I would get the 24-105G to replace my 16-55G. Has anyone made that switch before and can tell me if the FF zoom is comparable to the 16-55 regarding sharpness and AF?

I can't make a direct comparison, as I went from A77II APS-C A-mount 16-50 lens to FE, but I can say that the 24-105 is a really good and widely useful lens that seldom comes off my A7RIV.
