After a long debate with myself, I reached the same conclusion.
0) It's not anymore film's era: software, editing, electronic picturing are mainstream.
I don't like Edit, PP, or whatever you call it. A shot or it's good or throw it away.
a) I'm not a Pro that will be able to monetize the shots,
no matter what: Photo is only a sport or hobby as you prefer and the quality differences between HDW are minimal.
b) for good lenses you can only dream, you will find an F corresponding used,
for a reasonable sum you may afford. Even a very used one will do, provided it works fine.
c) I began that path by buying AF-P 70-300 + FTZ2.
The total was 20% cheaper than the new Tamron Z. On top the AF-P it's sharper, it's a VR and now I own an FTZ.
Sure, with F mount you have to take into account heavier walking weights,
but it's feasible ...
...when you do not want to throw your money after technological sirens.
Who makes the Photo is your brain, I'm experiencing that.
My eyes can't put in focus the monitor nor use an EVF, I cannot even bend, and I still shoot M all manual.
