I am waiting for my 8th Nikon F mount lens (the Sigma 28mm f1.4 ART) since I got into the Z system.

    I have only 1 Z mount lens.

Also bought 1 M-mount lens and adapter to Z mount.

    Why F-mount lenses?
Thanks to Z mount lenses being more desired, I managed to get some nice (top of the range in respective focal lengths) lenses at lower prices.
F-mount lenses have mechanical manual focus that I like.
Also like the compatibility with F-mount bodies though I no longer have a DSLR, only film cameras.

After a long debate with myself, I reached the same conclusion.

    0) It's not anymore film's era: software, editing, electronic picturing are mainstream.
I don't like Edit, PP, or whatever you call it. A shot or it's good or throw it away.

    a) I'm not a Pro that will be able to monetize the shots,
no matter what: Photo is only a sport or hobby as you prefer and the quality differences between HDW are minimal.

    b) for good lenses you can only dream, you will find an F corresponding used,
for a reasonable sum you may afford. Even a very used one will do, provided it works fine.

    c) I began that path by buying AF-P 70-300 + FTZ2.
The total was 20% cheaper than the new Tamron Z. On top the AF-P it's sharper, it's a VR and now I own an FTZ.

Sure, with F mount you have to take into account heavier walking weights,
    but it's feasible ...
...when you do not want to throw your money after technological sirens.

Who makes the Photo is your brain, I'm experiencing that.
My eyes can't put in focus the monitor nor use an EVF, I cannot even bend, and I still shoot M all manual.

Fantastic lens. Incredible value purchasing slightly older Sigma Art lenses which match and in some cases even outclass the most recent mirrorless lens offerings today.

Since I'm thinking about it, I have to give serious kudos to all the ebay resellers who have managed to maintain the grossly inflated used cost of the 28 1.4D. I get a good laugh each time I see one of the sheep take it in the rear and purchase one of those completely outdated relics for around a thousand dollars on ebay.

About 6 months ago B&H was selling those Sigmas for 399 or something thereabouts.. I tried to order one, but shipping to Finland was not optional.. F***. Even after whateverVATs and shipping it would of been a steal... So F you B&H. Or was it Adorama.. :D

    From B&H information page:
We currently do not ship to Iran, Sudan, Cuba, Syria, North Korea and Uganda.

Should be possible to ship here (Finland).

    Haven't tried though...

The US government has official embargo to certain countries, such as Cuba, North Korea, etc. In addition to that, for example, Nikon USA has a requirement that their dealers not ship Nikon USA cameras and lenses outside of the US. Not sure Sigma has such restrictions or not. But one can always have a friend purchase an item from Adorama or B&H and then ship it themselves.
