Thought that I might as well do my first actual photography post too. Here's a black-headed gull posing on the ice on a lake that contains a fairly large local colony of them. Most of the lake is still frozen, but quite a lot of them have nonetheless already migrated back to their summer grounds. Shot was taken today.
