I think blue is a very interesting color, because it’s both natural (sky & water) and yet also very artificial (industrial applications, medicine producs, emergency lights etc.) and offers a lot of opportunities to play with the tension inbetween. It's also the most popular color all around the world, at least according to some polls.

So, let's all feel enjoy blue together! 😉

A Lazy Afternoon in Luckenbach Texas.

Back in the day Luckenbach was a target rich environment for wannabe performance photographers. You can't hardly walk down the street in Austin without bumping into a world class musician. They play with friends all over Central Texas when the mood is right.

There was free music on the outdoor stage behind the old Post Office on weekend afternoons. You could get as close as you dared as long as you didn't block the audience or become a pest to the band. Timing was everything but then it always is. Miss those times.

Out in the parking lot in 2011...

Wonderful images. A blast from the past. The father of one of my friends in high school had one of these cars. At the time I was much more interested in his old pan head Harley. Spent the coldest night of my life on the back of that thing riding between Madison and Superior.

There's a story that goes with this. I forgot to post it. It's a sightseeing balloon that flies over the city. I live on the third (top) floor. In our block all the houses are along the streets, so there is a rather large garden area inside the block. Old houses with large gardens. Sometimes that balloon comes sweeping pretty low over our gardens, almost brushing the roofs of the houses.

I looked up from my computer and there it was, filling my whole window. I grabbed the camera, a tele was already on, and rushed to the window. Hurry, hurry, it was moving away fast! It was a very warm day and it may have been that I wasn't totally dressed... No one can normally see into my apartment, so I'm not so picky with that. Look at the pilot's face... I fear he spotted me in all my indecency, hanging out from the window with a long lens. 😶😂

Impressive that you're able to capture those at that distance! I think some selective color would make them more effective for the "blue" theme though:
