    Thank you simplejoy 🙂

We were on a cruise ship anchored off Port Vila, Vanuatu. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing.

I hadn't noticed the "tiny black triangles in the water" before you mentioned them 🤔 so I zoomed in on the original and I can see they are some kind of marker buoys. They look way too small to be shipping channel markers so I am not sure what their purpose is.

Below is a crop of zooming in on one of them.

Marvelous color and fantastic detail! Was it shot with your Vivitar EL?

    Being Orange

Made with a twenty year old Epson scanner. Once it was a workhorse in my office. Now a relic much like the owner. The scanner makes very high resolution images but they require tedious finishing work.

That's fantastic. Which Epson scanner do you have? If it breaks in the future or gets too tedious to work with you could consider getting the lens out and attach it to a modern camera... might be even more effective that way and still keep its excellent ability to capture colors.

Here are some orange captures taken with scanner lenses:

One of the first shots I took with the Z30. Forgot about it, 'till 2 hours ago. Found it while I was looking for something else.

    Thanks for comment.

I should have been more specific about the scanner. It is an old Epson flatbed document scanner that will also scan film. It processes images line by line using either a single sensor element or possible three or so elements and integrated light source. The lens cannot be used by a conventional digital camera. People do sometimes build cameras using flatbed scanners but that is not about image quality.
