Try again. I’m occasionally seeing a silent failure of my first upload attempts. An immediate retry to the same post seems to do the trick. (I’m running beta Safari browsers here so I haven’t raised any alarms.)

Edit to add: might this be a return of our young, eager friend Sandy? We shall see.

    End of the Party

The last of a bunch of flowers that were dyed and sprinkled with glitter. Poor things.

Wow - really special shots, all of those! Are the cages(?) in shots 2 and 3 really colored like that? It provides some amazing color contrast... really great!

Thanks. The lobster traps are color coded. Each licensed lobsterman has his own colors for traps and floats, tied to his license number. Most repaint theirs before the season opens, so they're bright and shiny the days before, which is when I visit. Licenses can be sold or passed down. These two colors have been in the same two island families for generations. The man with the purple traps is raising his orphaned granddaughter, who inherited her father's license a few years ago. When she was 10 she set her first traps. She has her own colors.
