The California hills are yellow and brown again.
The closeup of the flower (2nd img) is amazing.
You got a very interesting region for hiking (of course).

Thanks for the comment. I'm lucky to have a small mountain range right next door - Mt. Diablo State Park. The summit is at 3850ft elevation, the trailhead starts at about 500-600ft. A loop hike to the top is about 12-15 miles (depending on trails taken) and a great workout.
I like them all, but especially the second one. I almost looks like it has eyes. Do you know what type of flower it is?

If you use Chrome, right click on the image provides a "Search image with Google" option. That search says that it is a Calochortus Venustus or Butterfly mariposa lily.
The colours are so good. Did you do any PP on these? If so, care to share?

Sorry for the late reply. They were processed from RAW files in Adobe Lightroom. Nothing special, just basic adjustments to taste (brightness, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, saturation). Sometimes I would increase or decrease the brightness or saturation of a since color (blue for the sky, green for the grass) to make it pop up a little more. I try not to overdo it.
