I've made a new comparison for 2024 just for my pleasure
with two of my favorite Kodak DCSs

1.5 MP and 2 MP respectively

I love photographing with very old digital cameras, it's always a pleasure to get them working after 20 or 30 years.

Once again, I like the DCS200 photo most - though I doubt that it is an accurate colour representation…

There's so much color aliasing and contrast in the DCS720X shot.

Here, however, in photo N°14, I find a clear advantage for the SCS 720x.

That's why I always take between 15 and 20 photos in different locations.
To get a better overall idea.

But it's true that I often prefer photos of vintage cameras.
Which can be discouraging for the future. 😈

The lighting seems to have changed between these shots. Like there was a reflector or fill flash in the 720x shot. Better it is anyway.

But no, I always take four or five photographs with each camera, as close together as possible.
Outside lighting can change quite suddenly, so I always try to stay alert!
Here, the DCS 720x simply handled backlighting better.
I have to say I was surprised by the result myself.
