A walk in the park after lunch and got some pretty sharp images at 70mm.

I have to praise again that I'm very very happy with GF 35-70mm's AF accuracy @ AF-S smallest focus box and really grateful to Fujifilm for introducing this cost effective native zoom lens.

The value proposition of that lens really can't be overstated, especially since it's so frequently discounted. A native medium format AF zoom for 499? It would need to have a front element made of frosted glass to be anything else than a great deal.

GFX 50s and just periodically reset all settings last week too. So it was a fresh out of factory default + GF 35-700mm that day 😄

Exactly, its pretty good combination and communication at least with my GFX 50s classic..

I have GF1+20/1.7 pancake (still using!) and Sigma fp+ 45/2.8 but I dont remember any kit lens having such excellent AF accuracy, and AF speed. The only time got me surprised was when I felt older Leica T 701 having better AF accuracy with newer Sigma 45/2.8 than Sigma fp.

    Seriously hate this lens.
Why? It is good and so small and convent that it says on my GFX100s way way way too much. It also has a pretty close minimal focal distance and can work reasonably well with close up and macro using the MCEX-18G and MCEX-45G.

Sounds like a good lens. I might get me one since it is very cheap. How does it compare with the 32-64mm?

I originally bought the 32-64, then latterly got the 35-70. I’ve since sold the 32-64 as I couldn’t see any discernible difference IQ wise, and the 35-70 is much lighter, which was a consideration. I’ve also got the 23mm which at some point I’ll swap out for the 20-35, giving a nice range in the 2 lenses, which will go nicely with the 100-200

Most significantly, it's much, much smaller and lighter. Having to extend it from the collapsed position to take a shot will take some getting used to, but it's no big deal at all. I usually shoot it closed down to f/5.6 or darker since I dislike the variable aperture, and at that point, it seems to lose little if anything compared to the 32-64 - I've only owned the latter very briefly, but that seems to be the popular consensus.
