The Guardian newspaper often has interesting galleries of photos linked to from the foot of its first page. I enjoyed looking at this one.

They certainly have some good looking photos in there, often with a bit of humour. Especially the Kingfisher

The Guardian does well with these collections of pictures. This set is no exception.
We had to rescue a praying mantis the other day from the attention of our cat. Fascinating insects. The Kingfisher shot is great too.

I can't see any link for submissions. So I wonder if those photos only come from certain contributing photogs - or can anyone submit a pic?
