I also clicked the square for full size in the browser window (vertical monitor 1900x1200 pix), for some reason it doesn't show green on the screenshot.
Perhaps the coder assumed the "+" will always result in an image with pixel dimensions larger than the image viewer canvas, and didn't think to erase the underneath image, assuming that it would be covered by the 100% pixel view you get with "+"?
Usually, the image is projected in the center. The overlaying image is the problem I think, also in my case (first post in the thread) where the extra image is displayed at the top.
