Just got to read about it in the news. Apparently Seagulls usually stealing junkfood, fries and whats more, got a hold of some sort of designer drugs, made up from artificial cannabis molecules, and prove to be addicted to the stuff by scavenging aggresively for more.

Occurrences like this were destined to happen but surely must have happened before with other species many times over. Considering everything substance related this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

This could be the sequel to that Cocaine Bear movie.😂

So the 'concept' has been fictionalized allready.

That movie was actually inspired by a true story. A bear did stumble upon a cocaine drop in the forest before the intended recipients could get to it. I imagine the rest in the movie is fiction.

Could be. The birds' behaviour is not explained in the movie.

The idea may have come from an incident where seagulls eating toxic algae appeared to start attacking humans: www.livescience.com/17713-hitchcock-birds-movie-algae-toxin.html

    Interesting theory, seems plausible.
