Hi folks
I recently started shooting something I previously thought I would never do: wildlife. I am discovering a new area of photography and I am pleased to see that the RX10 M3 performs rather well.
I am improving but I encountered an issue: when shooting (or trying to shoot) a bird in flight the cam manages to focus correctly on it as long as the background is composed of foliage but when the bird flies higher with the sky as a backgroung, within a couple of seconds the scene gets completely blurred, including the sky itself even though it is perfectly blue, and the shutter stops working (I am in burst mode).
So far I have been mainly taking herons nesting in heronries located in a densely wooded island so it seldom happens that birds fly over the wood. I had little opportunity to test differents settings.
Currently the Focus Area is Center. Is there a prefered one such as Flexible Spot or else?
TIA for your insight.
Regards
Nick
