Another association, this time between Minolta and Agfa
Both companies marketed the device under individual labels.
The camera that served as the basis was the Dynax 500si

Large sensors used to cost a fortune to produce
See the astronomical price of Kodak DCS!
They used instead, three small CCD sensors of 380,000 pixels each (768x394) with a prism that generate three light beams.
Which gives after interpolation a final resolution of 1.75 million pixels (1528x1146)

Didn't know Agfa had an interchangeable lens DSLR. Interesting they selected a Minolta body. The sharpness doesn't match the Canon 520. Surprised they can combine 3 sensors without it being obvious. The Canon EOS 1n has strange "rainbow" like colors happening on then church roof. Agfa avoids that nicely.
    Enjoy these posts.

Thank you very much for your feedback

Agfa also produced the Agfa Studiocam in the same period

    Agfa Studiocam 17.5 MP sensor (4500x3648 )
Storage: on a computer with a SCSI connection
    $9,500.00 USD

The Agfa StudioCam was a single-scan camera designed for use in professional photo studios and prepress houses. The StudioCam featured a trilinear color CCD that could be rotated for landscape or portrait positioning, an ISO range of 100 to 400
