I remember Zeiss had the ZX1 which was eventually discontinued. It had their Zeiss Camera + Lightroom which I didn't understand. Putting Lightroom into a Camera, was the Lightroom a Subscription or not and was the Software upgradeable via updates? It had Android as the OS, which typically would have 2 years of Security Updates.

It was every expensive too. Who was going to edit their photos in the ZX1? There was apparently a wait list for the ZX1?

Weird thing. I would have thought most people would want to do LR style editing on a machine with a decent screen.

I would have bought one, on two conditions: (1) no Android and (2) price tag below 2000 ($/€/£ whatever). I quite liked design of it and likely it made creat pictures too :)

In the past there were Symbian - Nokia, DigitaOS - Kodak, HP and others. Palm but they weren’t known for their Cameraphones, BlackBerry.

I heard Amiga has made a comeback recently.

I had the Nokia 808 PureView Cameraphone. A nice device, which I had lost a while ago.

Apparently, the ZX1 had Android 6 (2015) as its OS. I’m not sure if it was upgraded beyond this initial OS or not.

The OS was already outdated when the ZX1 was announced.

Someone managed to get hold of a ZX1 and disassembled it
