Same name as well .I'm still using mostly Minolta A mount lenses on my Sony A mount bodies as well as still using my Minolta film SLRs plenty .
Though a few of my Sony A mount lenses find there way onto the Minolta's .
I've recently got a Minolta Dynax 9 that had had the SSM & ADI flash upgrade , to I can now use the Sony CZ 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-400mm SSM G lens on it , as well as the Dynax 7 & 5 .My Minolta Dynax 7d and DiMage A2 & A200 are also working well , though not a huge amount of use .
The Minolta Vectis lenses have received a new life since the Monster Adapter people released a fully Autofocus adapter for certain Sony E mount bodies .
They work surprisingly well on modern cameras . :)
