Any thoughts on the soon to be released GFX100RF?

It's a tough way to go to manufacture. IIRC that 645D was.$10k initially. I expect that a wide image GFX - also a fixed NM lens and jo IBIS - would be at least that much today.

Yep. IIRC there had been 3 or 4 such Fuji 120 format film fixed lens rangefinder units in the past. 6x9 comes right to mind. And this looks like a digital redux of that. It probably sports a rangefinder focusing display in the EVF just like my GFX-100 does. That would complete the rangefinder experience.

Well, it isn't for me but it is still a reasonable offering. And, it's not like Sony 44x33mm 100 MP sensors are in short supply these days.

My camera has a thing called an optical viewfinder and the lens has a ring called focus. Quite useful when focusing on a subject in Manual ...

i have handsaws and electric mitre saws. each has its place on my truck. but i just dont go to a job with a handsaw, peice of sandpaper,and a hammer. i go with a truck full of every electic and air tool. thats the difference between a pro and home handyman 😊

Ergo, by implication you always use AF and think of yourself as a pro for that very reason. Sad, sad, sad ...

When you shoot 1000 portraits a day like i do some days thats when you buy the best eye /face auto focus system of any camera and thats the A7iv and back up a close 2nd a6700. I dont even look through the evf but a large monitor, nothing sad about perfect AF and making easy money. manual focus doesnt even come close. its for people that like to play with there gear.

try this with manual focus, this is how good the best is.

Ergo you are being a pita over a camera that is not suited to taking 1000 portraits of muts every day. Just what point are you trying to prove beyond that you appear to have a closed mind and that every camera ever invented must suit just your needs
