I won this camera on an auction a couple months ago. Seems no one wanted a camera that didn't have a current big name on it. Of course, it is not made by Bell & Howell, it is distributed under license of BHH LLC by Elite Brands in New York (for the US market). Most likely made by Asia Optical, which has put out a HUGE number of cameras over the years. So I think they know how to do the job right.
I know there are those who would say "it's not a real camera" BUT I can say FROM OWNING ONE, it's not a bad camera at all. Especially for the intended market. P, Tv, Av, M, ART, Panorama, SCN and Intelligent Scene modes. There are only 2 given apertures in Av mode which is common with these things, so, it's best to go to Tv (or M) and get your aperture fom there. I haven't used Panorama mode yet. I have used Sport mode under the SCN mode and a fast card is really recommended. There is also a nice Histogram. It has a Moon mode that allows you to select any of 5 White Balance colors. Background Defocus, HDR, Time Lapse, EV Bracketing, Max ISO Auto, AEL/AFL, Wi-Fi and more.
Specs : ?" CMOS, 20MP, 25-875mm, F3-5.9, 1/15-1/2000 Tv (Fireworks does 4 seconds), 1080p60, 3" LCD.
All Program Mode. No post on any of these. For some reason, this has been my go-to camera since I got it. It's a pretty fast performing camera and just a lot of fun. If it had a viewfinder it would be awesome. Also, this might even be the same lens that is on the Sony H300.
