I didn't really need my macro kit for this, it was huge compared to me usual bugs, its a Common cockchafer about 1" long

I looked up this bug, in part because I was interested in a name that sounded like it might refer to a coarse pair of underwear 😳

There was a pic of those little orange antennae on his head fanned out instead of bunched up. If you see him again, it would be a nice capture.

I did wonder about those antenna, your pic shows a more active or interested beetle, mine seemed sluggish and dozey, probably didn’t like being awake in the daytime

Just to be clear that wasn't a pic I took. It was a pic I found on google, hence the link underneath. But yeah I would be worried too...

I knew, the fingerprint scan showed its from someone else :)
