I like them, their dark plumage makes them difficult to photograph, but there is good light and good detail...

Eastern Great Egret
Not a pleasant background but the elegance of the bird does it for me. If you look closely there's a little Cormorant fishing just behind the Egret's feet.
I had been shooting it in a tree and had dialed in a lot of (-)ve EC so no time to change when it took off...
