I have to admit even with my strobe on top it can be a little hard to see my mini 3 pro past 1/4 mile.
But , when I was asked by a friend where it was and I pointed he said, "Where, and how do you know."
This was a chance to show off the great tech in the DJI mini 3 pro and the RC controller/
Questions were..... How far away?, How high is it?, How can you tell when batteries are low, etc.
My reply. It's all here on my controller.
Seriously everything I needed to know it right there. I can even shown him on the map where I am and where my drone is. Where is is looking and what it sees.
Sounds pretty safe and reliable to me.
When he mentioned places not to fly I was able to pull info from the part 107 manual. I knew it anyway.
Plus , I showed him my black box info later and he was astounded. Even showed my stick inputs and where the drone had flown.
Sounds to me like DJI has done everything to comply.
I know I have. Still waiting to take my exam though. Both testing sites at two bases not answering calls.

For those times when the drone is almost beyond vision, I rely on visual marker reference points to quickly re-establish visual contact. Tall trees, buildings, hilltops, mountains, certain clouds etc...
