New tent? That one looks black! A great looking beach Dave! Real sand too! All fine images! You must have a good sleeping bag or it is warmer there than here at night now. I looked it up on a 'map'. Did you drive all the way or take a ferry? Not too far from your home as the crow flies but a circuitous route if driving. (I can not believe that the spell checker did not pop up on that word. I am likely in the running for world's worst speller!)

Looks a lovely spot to camp Dave lovely weather with lovely views to make lovely photos what more would one need 😀
The last one the sunrise would be my favourite
We used to camp often, but it's been several years now, and I doubt our camping will resume.
Looks like a lovely place. Really like that last photo of the sunrise.
Still dreaming of coming to visit Scotland, Dave.

Very nice Dave. Lovely spot to spend a night. No pirates too worry about ?
Maybe just the odd Viking 🙂

Still the same tent. It's dark blue but it was in the shade. My sleeping bag is rated down to 0C but I still needed a fleece jacket on during the night. I would normally have taken the Corran ferry but it's broken down so I drove round via Lochailort. Took nearly 2 hours.

The weather is amazingly good at the moment. Hope it's the same for you. There were a few people about when I arrived but by mid afternoon I had the place to myself. Peace, perfect peace.

Thanks Jim. I love camping somewhere off the beaten track but carrying all the necessary gear is getting a bit of a struggle these days. It was definitely worth the effort this time.

A boat arrived in the early evening and I was reminded of Robinson Crusoe. Fortunately when they came ashore it was only a very nice couple exercising their dog.
I always keep a lookout for Viking longships just in case.

That's a beautiful place, Dave. The white sand beach is lovely. My favourite is the sunset. These pictures are certainly worth a circuitous drive. I need a road trip with a night away from home, too. Rich
Wow. I didn't think Scotland had beaches like that. What a nice spot for camping.
What tent is that please? It's one of those free standing ones, right?

It was great to enjoy my first camp of the year in such a beautiful and quiet location Rich. My old bones ached a bit after I returned home but it was worth it.
Dave
There's quite a large number of beautiful beaches in Scotland, Charlotte. The only drawback is the water is usually 🥶.
The tent is a Naturehike Tagar 2. It's not free standing but it's quite light in weight and roomy for one person.

Waking up to the morning sunshine, stretching .. and getting the kinks out from sleeping on that branch !!!! Beautiful scenes to wake to .... I hope the coff3ee is on as I need to get over and take a morning walk with Paul ... coming along ????
WhyNot
I have to confess that it takes me quite a while to get going after a night in the tent WN. First order of business is to light the stove for the first coffee of the day. To enjoy it in such a beautiful place while the sun rose and the only sound was the waves lapping on the shore was wonderful.
I always enjoy Paul's morning walks. They're far less tiring.
