Is anyone else using a Canon 5DS for flower and nature photos this spring? Here are some ordinary petunias (before planting) which I think photographed well using the 40mm f/2.8 S pancake lens. This photo is 1/500 f/11 ISO100.

I have figured out (with help from readers at another forum) how to paste/embed BBCode using an android cellphone, to show photos hosted elsewhere, ie not 4MB max allowed to upload here. For example this photo is on Flickr. Thus larger sizes are available for viewing at Flickr since most of my jpegs there ( if uncropped) are about 20MB.

Please add some Canon full- frame photos to share to this thread!

I can't edit and add to prior post via cellphone, thus the separate posts. Here: Pansy outside ISO100 rather than higher ISO in greenhouse (petunias). I'll try for scenic landscapes at f/8 and above today.

I'm curious as to whether I can add multiple photos on this post, using multiple open windows on my computer. On cellphone I cannot apparently do so. Let's try some flowers in the Brookside Gardens greenhouse last weekend, I'll use BBCode method and reduce sizes to medium

now I'll try an orchid, also linked medium size which is 800x533n This is processed in auto wb auto style, which gives truer color than daylight wb standard style

one more, an outdoor phlox taken yesterday at Meadowlark Gardens, with the same Tamron 28-300mm which I'm trying out for use in Hawaii in June. I will have upcoming photos comparing it to the 24-104mm

@SandyF his URL in a search came up as a white page, so no.

Thank you, and that is proper photo forum etiquette, I believe. To NOT post other people's photos without their permission.

Might as well rub it in with a "shouted" NOT ... easy enough to kick someone when they're down (admitted fault). eh?

... meanwhile I found another site by the Owner and right-clicking on that very image brought up a copyright notice.

My latest 5DS wisteria series on Flickr goes back and forth between the 24-105mm and the new Tamron 28-300mm. I'm attempting to compare results from the 2 lenses in a natural shooting situation, ie not exact photos but related. My tentative thoughts are the Canon lens is sharper plus has the advantage of lens correction options during DPP4 processing. Also I'm deliberately shooting at > f/8, so far to f/13 1/60 f/13 ISO400 because of the f/13. Steadied with monopod.

How much advantage the Canon 24-105 gives in sharpness versus the lighter weight and size advantage of the Tamron will be the question ... I will only take one zoom for the Canon 5DS plus 2 small, light Sigma cameras.
