After the release of its fabulous 11MP Canon EOS-1Ds in 2002
and his revolutionary Canon EOS-300D / Digital Rebel under $1000 US in 2003
Canon released us in 2004, an affordable camera with 8MP, the Canon EOS-20D
2004-2005 is the beginning of the great film/digital migration!

Digital photography is finally taken seriously by many photographers.

Oh dear I do remember those little lcds on the back 😁 the 10D was the first DSLR I bought after decided to go digital with an DLSR
Still did shoot analog with an Eos SLR (and still do today with a few other Eos SLRs)
Mine finally give up with a refusing/broken shutter button (known issue i believe with some of the older Eos DSLR bodies)

Maoby - a bit off topic, but just out of interest how/where/why did you get all these camera and how many do you have?

Around that time I was using a 10D, 1Ds and D30 for weddings. It was really the time of digital migration for many.

    Tim

These are questions I have been asked regularly.

I became interested in digital photography in 1996. I found it interesting to relive the evolution of photography.
And the Beginning of the Story Wasn't Very Far Away (1991)

I ended up recovering more than a hundred compact digital, and 80 DSLR/ML to date.
