On the Threads screen, on my iPhone
In landscape mode, I see
All Categories, All Threads, Start Thread
as small blocks on a single line
In portrait mode, I see
All categories
Start thread
on separate lines, each extending the full width of the display
Is there any way to get the "All threads" button visible in portrait mode?

I need to borrow my wife's iPhone and test this to see if there's a workaround. But I am sure you are right. And it's probably the same on Android.

You can see it in Windows (at least with Firefox) by making the browser window narrower. At some point it snaps from 3 small bars to two full-width ones.
