Do I need to open a thread before I can see the poster's name ?
Avatars and, for example the letter S inside a purple square, don't tell me who posted it.

Seems this site is preoccupied with counting how many members it has and whether it has the right name.

You can hover over the avatar (assuming use on a computer) and a tooltip shows their name. Otherwise, yes currently you need to open the thread.

Seems a little harsh - remember that the admins are volunteers who are working unpaid and meeting expenses from their own pocket. The software is still in development and if you’ve been reading the posts, you’ll have seen the length of the lists of bugs and feature requests, of which this is only one. I think this site has tremendous potential and I’m willing to put up with the rough edges for some time yet.

Agreed on the work Bob & Alan are doing. I'm willing to help with expenses also. Doesn't seem they've setup a mechanism for that yet though - I think they're working to get their legal and accounting framework established first.
