Old posted images, not reworked, nothing new. I went looking for some unloved images to work for the first time and came upon these that had been worked and decided to repost them here. When you are old like some of us, it can stir an 'oh yeah' moment.

The images below are all composites of cars shot at the 2017 Cayuga Fest. If I redid them now they would be slightly better as my skills have improved as has the software I use.

    Thanks Paul.

It would seem that I should retire from photographic editing as far as creating composites with cars. I just watched a video of Photoshop using Generative AI fill. Unbelievably easy. What took me about 3 h to do when I did these, and 10 h five years before that, can be done in a couple of minutes with this new Photoshop tool. I may have to subscribe to Adobe. I don't want to but it is absolutely amazing and I will be left in the dust if I don't.

I like the photography, Andrew. I know you're better now, but you weren't bad before. Whenever I see a street rod I mourn for a beautiful old car sacrificed to the torch. Therefore, if I could have one of these, I'd take the AMX, hopefully with a 401 and a 4 speed.
I could stand a real dose of 2017 about now.

This from the Humboldt Rose Society show yesterday. Nice roses, el crapo backgrounds. Rich

    Rich, thanks.

I watched a you tube video showing Adobe Photoshop Generative Ai. It was amazing and fast. The problem is you don't get to see a 1:1 output to examine it for flaws. There may not be any and if so I think I might finally succumb to the money grabbing giant and subscribe. The jury is out on that but seeing what it can do I could save about three hours of meticulous work in PSP for each car composite. If the selection tool is better than in PSP then it could save you time as well. I did not like the Adobe interface years ago but I guess you get used to it. I don't care for Affinity but I did do the upgrade to version 2. It has some tools that PSP does not. It and PSP are far less expensive than Adobe.

Your rose show does not look particularly large. I hope you got some images you can work on without too much hassle.

Traffic here is drying up and setting like cement on a hot day!

Their subject selection and AI generative replacement do look awesome. I really like my DxO Photolab, but like you am sorely tempted to give Adobe's subscription model a try. It does beg the question of what is a photograph though.

It certainly hasn't become a replacement for the old DPReview forum.

Very nice set, Andrew, and lots of good work .. I confess that if I spend 30 minutes in pp on a picture I think it is taking too long, an hour and I start to think I've overworked the picture … AI makes me think the craft is dying but maybe the imagination is still needed … Millions of pictures posted each day .. what is photography today? ... And as I look at other sites I see pictures posted and no discussion and wonder if anyone is looking … This site is still “busy” by comparison and we maintain conversations as long as we keep the community close … just meandering through my mind .. I think I'll reheat the coffee …

On my phone so I will not try to reduce the above. Does Adobe have a free trial period? I should look it up.

The growth of the number of users at this site has flattened. It could pick up again if dpr ever does close. Apparently I chased two away by making abusive comments after they complained about images posted with Pentax and Fuji cameras in this sub forum. They went to DPR Forums.

WN. Thanks! I do not mind the time. It is a challenge and gives me something to do. That said, if some one can do the same thing in five minutes then there is no point.

As to photography, you still need to have a decent image to start with. Ai is filling in parts of the image often from images it gets from somewhere. Liberated???
