I visited this Corsican mountain pass hoping for a calm and gentle sunrise but got strong winds and rain instead. 3 problems: firstly keeping the rain off the bulbous front element if the Samyang 14mm; secondly patching the final image together because I hadn't managed to keep the rain off the front element; lastly I was freezing having left the coast 4,000+ft below in shorts, sandals and a t shirt. Breathtaking composition, Ken.
Scots pine on Corsica, looks a bit like Glen Affric 😉

Hi André. Some kind of Stone Pine but it felt almost as cold and wet as Glen Affric but I was in shorts and t shirt which isn't sensible at dawn at 1,300m. Ken

    I like it.

    It's recalling Japan's traditional image

( while shivering and wet is not much traditional )

Now is one of my wallpaper, on a 65" 4k monitor >>> If you agree.

No problem Alain, enjoy. I don't think of this as Japanese as it reminds me of the Hudson River School, 19thC American. Some of my better Scottish landscapes remind me of 19thC Scottish landscape painters. Perhaps I am a romantic born 2 centuries too late. Ken
