From 0 to hitting the 3,000 registered member mark at some point today...yeah, this site is growing quickly :)
I'm not the most active person on the forum but usually check in at least once each day and haven't yet personally seen or gotten involved in a thread as suffocatingly bad as the worst of the DPR threads I almost drowned in over the last decade.
One of the things I really like about DPRevived is the open discussion that's taking place about governance. People are being allowed the space to express their opinions on a range of topics. Members are (mostly) giving each space to share divergent opinions. Sure, there's disagreement - sometimes passionate - but most of the exchanges don't get too personal.
The admins seem to be taking it all in, occasionally nudging folks back into the "let's be collegial" lane. But that hasn't been needed, for the most part...not based on what I've seen. Based on the first couple of weeks, I'm optimistic about DPRevived's future.
For my part, I'd like to see more member engagement and interaction in the genre-focused forums. We need more folks sharing photos to spark and be active in conversations about...photography.
This thread is an open call to members to share your work in the "Descriptive Photography" forums. While you're there, have a look at the work of the other photographers and share a comment or two. Let's get more interactive.
Let's share our love of the medium.
