    First: Thank you very much to for all your efforts to keep the community alive!
    I received a message from a member who tried to communicate with me in one of the threads but lost the password.
    She wrote you a message but did not get feedback or help.
    Could you please check?

    I know that you will have more work than capacity. However, the job to keep everybody on board is one of the important tasks.
    The call "Man overboard!" will stop any ship on the sea. Maybe you should get this maneuver into your first-things-first list.

    I don't know who the email was sent to. But if you could tell me her username on here, I can probably reset her password, tell you (privately) and you can pass it on.

    Hi, Alan,

    'I was lost but now am found', thanks to Holger's help! I got your email this morning with the temporary password and have now generated a new one for my account and am back in. Yay!

    To answer your question about 'who the email was sent to?': I used the website's own page which has the tab to click to get a new password link sent. I used it on at least 4 different days/times and each time cot a confirmation that my request was rec'd and that I would get a link sent to the email associated with my account. I never got a link sent at all until Holger posted his thread here to help me out. Then you sent me today's email, thank you, so I have been welcomed back & have made sure the new info got recorded in my pm!

    Thanks for rescuing me from obscurity, lol!

    Cathy, I'm so sorry you got plunged into obscurity. Here's the full story of how it happened. In the early days we had a few bugs, which turned out to be due to a problem with the email configuration. Basically, we got an exception each time the system wanted to send an email. Fixed that and it was fine for a while, until the bugs re-appeared. Then it turned out we had exceeded the number of emails allowed by the email server being used. So we turned emails off, which unfortunately breaks changing passwords. Wednesday we're going to move to a new emails server, which hopefully will fix it.
    But sorry that you were at the sharp end of this.

    Ah. I assume that will also be why email notifications haven't been working also.

    I look forward to seeing if they're restored after the new mail server comes online.

    Absolutely no need to apologize, Bobn2. I can only imagine all the headaches encountered by the admin team. I think what has already been accomplished is incredible.
    I am glad for the heads up about the Wednesday server changeover. I just discovered when I signed in that the newly generated password I carefully saved earlier to use instead of the one sent to me by Alan did not save on the site so I will use his until after Wednesday and then try again to save my own.
