I'm not sure if this may already be available and I have not seen it, but it would be great to be able to darken the background of the main page. The white is very bright.
As a 22 year member of dpreview, I'm so happy to see this site and many thanks to all who started it. What a relief..
It’s been proposed a number of times and is on the development list.
If you are using Chrome or Firefox or Edge, you may want to have a look at Dark Reader, which would put this and many other sites into dark mode.
Edit: The native dark mode is in the list of development works I believe.
I had tp remove 'Dark reader' as some keys on some sites did not work with it installed.
In my Ubuntu firefox browser, Dark Reader places an icon to the right of the address bar. You can use this to quickly switch the addon on and off for this site only.
A true dark mode would be great and more approachable. Consider this another request for this feature :-)
Agreed that a native dark mode would be excellent! Some OSs (like Android) only support dark mode in Chrome on very new devices, otherwise you're SOL; not everyone uses large screens to access websites.
And a big thank you to all doing the site development and maintenance. ;-)
Hope fully coming soon. They are working on it. I used dark mode at DPReview since the beginning.
