More from the other day. The daffodils (narcissus) are on the way out now. One bloodroot, not fully open.
Andrew
This last one was not very sharp. I should have gone inside and retrieved the 60 mm macro.
Makes me wish we were having a sunnier spring here!
I spent the spring of 1971 in Vedder Crossing. I think it rained every day for three months! Not all day but still a lot of rainy days! I would have thought it might be less wet where you are. About15 years ago we did an Inside passage cruise from Vancouver to Anchorage. Other than the first day in Vancouver it rained every day. I hope you get more pleasant weather soon!

Very nice Andrew I do like daffodils 🌼 I planted some in or garden a few years back And they bring so much colure every year ours have all died back now 🙂
Paul, thanks! It is unusual I would think for the daffs to die out. We have them in increasing numbers every year. Some were planted on the hills through the village and they too have grown in numbers and they are in the shade! Strange I would think. Perhaps soil type?
Andrew
Rich, thanks. I saw your daffs before and noted then how they seem quite different than ours. They do not seem to occur in the wild around here and some nature types get upset about the planting of these non native flowers in wooded areas because of that. Not sure why because where I have seen them there were no wild flowers for them to have displaced.

Oh, and I have an orchid image for you from 2012 taken with the EPM1 and its kit lens, indoors with no additional light. Still a flower I do not particularly care for!!
The version in b&w is stunning.
TheDavinator, thanks! I looked up the raw this morning and processed it newly. A bit different look than I did twelve years ago but software has improved as has my abilities to use it to achieve my ‘vision’.
Andrew
Jim, thanks! I really like your double blood root. We only have the singles which we were gifted by a neighbour.
Andrew
Sorry Andrew I didn’t mean died they will be back next year just that they have been out since January and are weathered by now 🙂
Nice set Andrew ... Daffodils are how our Spring began and they are noiw mostly gone for several weeks ... Today starts with rain and vertigo I fear ... I guess it may become a day of editing files from yesterday ..
WhyNot
Thanks WN. The over night lows here have been around 0 C for several days now. Our pink magnolia tree has been enjoying its best flowering season in many years. Usually the frost gets the blooms and they turn brown.
