dark border in reply editor

I keep putting my cursor at the end of the last line when I initiate a reply, then hit enter, and start replying on my new line, often to realize later that I am typing into a quoted area. The reason I keep making this "mistake" is because the dark blue border around the text area goes far below the text area to include the buttons, and so it looks like there is no more text hidden, and that I am at the end. I think it would help if that bottom blue border was moved up to where the text ends, and/or make the strip with the buttons a different color than the text background. Thanks.
