Well this was a nice sounding alternative to the now resuscitated DPReview Astrophotography forum (and their whole site), but it never seemed to catch on. It was stillborn IMHO. There seems to be little to no interest in this Astrophotography forum on this site, so I've gone back to DPReview since they are going to stick around. Thanks for the effort, it is greatly appreciated, but almost no one showed up.

Just post something here, say once a week, and if enough people do that then you have a community.
OTOH, I understand your sentiment. That said, I long ago lost any sense of community at DPR. If it works for you then good for you.

Regarding making contributions, I initiated three threads here when the site first opened. One of the threads got zero replies. I won’t try again. The continuing existence of DPR means that an Astrophotography forum has very little reason to exist. I don’t know about other forums here; maybe most are successful enough to warrant continued existence.
