This seems to be a big new thing for Ricoh - coming out with limited edition new colour ways for the GR series. Has anyone shot with the colour negative like film sim this comes with - how is it?
This isn't the limited edition one. That one was released a few months ago and I happen to own one.
I find it a bit grumpifying that a few months later they release the same edition in a standard version. It makes all that stress of getting the limited edition on time feel pointless.
Is it not? My reading was it was the same limited edition kit, but just available in a new market. But yes, not fair to declare something as limited and then make it generally available in bigger numbers (if that is what they’re doing).
Ricoh always has bad copy in English. They clearly translate from Japanese, and it's clear it's not a translator who's doing that.
If you recall with the street edition, they announced it with an OVF and leather strap as a limited edition and a few months later released just the camera. It's the same now. I just checked the EU store last night: you have two options, the diary limited edition and the diary edition.
