I must say that I thought the Hodinkee(?) version was rather smart - but this? Seems to me a great way to reduce the value of the camera!

Sometimes I think Leica goes overboard with the special edition. Although a Bauhaus edition would be easy for them to do. All black without any lettering or other identifying features. Less is more after all.
A couple of days ago I showed it to a friend and she really loved it. She’s not a pro photographer, but has a good eye for composition, and I would describe her as an aspiring, style conscious amateur.
It would also be a great fit for a nice Supreme t-shirt.
But it would also look great with a shirt from Bape. And it has the additional benefit that depending on your mood you can combine both of your Q Leicas, Disney & Bape, with this t-shirt.
Another nice combo just to show them haters that they’ll gonna hate.
Pairs nicely with the Leica and some threads on this site in other forums.
Or I could buy one for my soul-less abandoned red-haired daughter that I never had.
Personally I’m a sucker for the Reporter editions as I love green cameras. I would’ve bought the M11 Reporter if it would exist, instead I got the black one, but with the Reporter leather accessories. Would I buy a Q2 I would get the Reporter edition, too. I don’t think you have to second guess which color my Billingham bags are.
I don’t understand where most of you get the idea from that this is overboard or value reducing. It’s just a regular consumer product.
As we've said previously, this is far from the most ... exotic... Leica finish produced. Their limited editions, even the wild or quirky ones, have never affected the value of any Leica cameras. It will sell out and be on the market used for more than original MSRP.
Personally I think it’s a pretty bad strategy to buy limited edition digital Leica bodies with the hope to sell them for profit. They are way better ways to invest your money.
Buy them, use them, recycle them.
At least that’s my attitude.
