The DPReview website has been having "fits and starts" for a few days now. Yesterday I couldn't access my gallery, today it's fine. I'm guessing this has something to do with archiving the website.
Right now, I'm at DPReview reading the announcement of the new Pentax K3 III Monochrome DSLR - an interesting camera!

Yeah their website has been up and down for a while now, either related to their efforts to prep it for shutdown, potentially getting hit with traffic if other groups are crawling through the content.

My crystal ball says is not going to be shut down. The general manager's message from days ago left things pretty unclear about it.

I suspect the site will stay as is, and that their "archiving" process is actually them making changes to the code to make it read-only by simply turning off comments, forums, gallery submissions etc.

Or they are trying to take as much time as possible with the “archival” thing while trying to keep the boat afloat somehow. Anyway, DPRTV is dead, and some of the editorial nice guys are gone too.
