The moderators of DPREVIEW have decided to continue being unpleasant, as long as possible, until April 10th.

You are tarring all the mods with the same brush. I don't think there's any justification for that.

but its pay back time where we can finally talk openly :-) not for you Jim and a few others, but the controlling/bad mods have tarnished the integrity of all moderators in general. theres going to be plenty of popcorn handed out on the 9th at dpr :-)

Let's say I have several sizes of brushes š
@CRNmail has written:I started a thread on DPReview to promote DPRevived and it was removed.
Just posted a 'goodbye' message on DPR with a link to this forum - and got it removed with a threat to be banned with the following explanation:
Quoted message:posts pushing folks to the new sites are now considered SPAM unless in the threads setup for the discussion of those sites. These posts are starting to gum up the regulars discussions
And I just mentioned dprevived in the end of my message.
This is the most unhelpful and harmful approach. What kind of 'regular' discussions they expect to see on the forum about to die and get wiped??
The best thing DPR moderators/admins can do right now - stick a post with links to potential DPR successors on every single subforum. Moving topics and closing them because of already opened similar topics doesn't really help now. I think Amazon doesn't care about the links to the successor forums, and I'm disappointed in how DPR moderators handle it right now. The more links - the better. They must be on the very top.
Who is the moderator the did this?

Jim, while I find you even handed, any mod now that put out the threat of banning, making a claim of spamming, is simply being an idiot. Iād like to know who that mod was.

It wasn't even a new thread, just a goodbye post here www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4705544 where at the end of my message I said I would be going to dprevived because it seemed to be the most populated. It wasn't Smaug who deleted my message with the warning... :)

The worst ones have tar AND feathers...
