    New features in Nik Collection 6

    • Nik Dfine: Completely new Interface for improved User Experience

    • U Point TechnologyTM enhancements for local adjustments:
    o Control Lines add flexibility when making broad adjustments, bringing the power of Control Points to linear gradients
    o Control Point Diffusion lets you alter the strength and style of adjustments o Show or hide local adjustments directly in the preview for greater simplicity o Inverse mask reverses the mask of selected control points or control lines

    • Nik Perspective new features and enhancements:
    o ReShape tool offers further control over composition by letting you distort parts of the image using a customizable grid overlay
    o Symmetry feature lets you flip images vertically or horizontally
    o Guidelines tool let you position vertical and horizontal lines to help with perspective
    corrections
    o File browsing now lets you access a tree hierarchy of computer folders and drives o New optics modules for automatic geometric corrections

    • New HSL feature in Nik Color Efex for deeper, more accurate, control of color and tone. The HSL feature lets you selectively correct colors using 8 color channels, a global channel, and 4 sliders to alter hue, saturation, luminance and uniformity

    • Convert Adobe Photoshop layer to Smart Object from within the Nik Collection plugins for a non- destructive, reversible workflow

    • Select one of your last 15 Nik Collection edits and apply it again in a single click

    • Presets can now be searched for by name so you can instantly find your favorite edits

    • Affinity Photo is now automatically detected during installation

    Known Issues and Limitations
    • U PointTM technology enhancements, smart object conversion, last 15 Nik Collection edits and preset search features are available for all software in Nik Collection 6.0 except Nik Sharpener and Nik HDR Efex.
    It will be made available for Nik Sharpener in Nik Collection 6.2 and for Nik HDR Efex in Nik Collection 6.3 planned for release Summer 2023.
    • Selective Palette preferences do not apply to Nik Perspective

    Is there a case to be made to use NIK in Photolab rather than as plugins for PS or affinity?
