    General rules:
A previous round winner presents a busy or just not so interesting image, having at least some potential for different crops or visions.
Anyone (except author of original image) can edit the presented image, up to three distinct edits in separate posts are permitted.
All edits must be based on original image, not on another people's edits (of course borrowing ideas would not be a problem).
Short explanations about your editing intentions and/or techniques are encouraged, but not required.

Once the deadline for images has been reached, no new image versions will be accepted. Questions and (polite) discussions of techniques are welcome, so that we can learn from one another how certain edits were achieved.
The edited version gathering most likes wins and its author will start next round, unless they would prefer to pass the torch to someone else.
On the closing day for voting, if there is a draw in the number of likes for two or more edits, then the person that posted the original image will decide the winner from the the photos receiving the most votes.

    Editing rules:
All "normal" adjustments (brightness, colors, curves etc) are permitted (both local and global ones).
All geometric adjustments (perspective, cropping etc) are permitted.
Artistic effects (brushes, textures etc) are allowed.
No additions or replacements may be made to the main subject matter of the image; non-essential objects may be removed. Sky replacements are OK unless the sky is the main subject..
Generative AI must not be used. Generative remove is OK.

    Timing:
Get your images posted by October 2nd, there will be an extra day after that just for voting.

    The Photo:
Hartford Connecticut at midday with dandelions in the foreground. Exposed for the highlights, the scene appeared far brighter than in real life than the jpeg example would suggest. Not a great shot, but maybe a good exercise for relatively dark landscapes with very bright skies.

This is a nice photo, but as you say, it needs something.

So, I increased the exposure, vibrance, clarity and a few other bits. I removed some of the sky because it was distracting from the lovely field. Then, since there was curvature on the edge of the grass, I thought a vignette might make it blend in better. Lastly I straightened it up.

I had to get rid of some of those sticks. There were too many of them for my mind to focus on that field of flowers.

    My attempt

Dandelions associate with Bradbury's Dandelion Wine, so I automatically think of childhood, sun, blue sky with white puffs of cloud, softness, warmth, all the summer smells, still fresh but already with touch of ripeness.

DXO photolab, applied Smart Lighting and ClearView, then rest is in Color Efex plugin:
    Warm sunset preset + filters:
    Glamour Glow
    Foliage
    Graduated fog (for upper half)

I have tried to inject a bit of sunlight and life into this photo without spoiling the sky. I have cropped it to 16 x 9. As others have done, I have removed some of the pylons. Photos like this with a nice foreground (by the way, these are not what we call Dandelions) and a nice sky but no distinct subject for your eye to go to, can be hard to edit. I haven't done a huge amount to this - in Adobe Camera Raw I have adjusted the Whites and Blacks and tweaked the Calibration settings. Using masks I have adjusted White Balance, Tone, Texture and Clarity in different areas. In Photoshop I have removed some distractions and added a subtle (hopefully) vignette.

No problem, it is a strong sub-motif in OP image - maybe even stronger than dandelion field itself. Actually I thought of the bridge even before I saw Greg's version(s) of it :)

Congratulations Greg, it looks like we have a clear favorite this week, and that favorite is yours. The torch is passed, please post something new for folks to play with...

    untitled.jpg

It's a bit (a lot) darker than what I envisioned, but it looks nice with the skinny crop, the wide angle lens often leaves you with too much foreground if you want to keep the verticals vertical. For any who are interested, this was my edit for this one. I didn't even consider removing any of the poles as some did but, in retrospect, not a bad idea.

Thanks to everyone who participated, some interesting submissions here, I didn't really expect such a wide range of interpretations with this one.
