    Continuing the image editing thread, 60th issue.

    General rules:

    ♦ A previous round winner presents a busy or just not so interesting image, having at least some potential for different crops or visions.
    ♦ Anyone (except author of original image) can edit the presented image, up to three distinct edits in separate posts are permitted.
    ♦ All edits must be based on original image, not on another people's edits (of course borrowing ideas would not be a problem).
    ♦ Short explanations about your editing intentions and/or techniques are encouraged, but not required.

    Once the deadline for images has been reached, no new image versions will be accepted. Questions and (polite) discussions of techniques are welcome, so that we can learn from one another how certain edits were achieved.
    The edited version gathering most likes wins and its author will start next round, unless they would prefer to pass the torch to someone else.
    On the closing day for voting, if there is a draw in the number of likes for two or more edits, then the person that posted the original image will decide the winner from the the photos receiving the most votes.

    Editing rules:

    ♦ All "normal" adjustments (brightness, colours, curves etc) are permitted (both local and global ones).
    ♦ All geometric adjustments (perspective, cropping etc) are permitted.
    ♦ Artistic effects (brushes, textures etc) are allowed.
    ♦ No additions or replacements may be made to the main subject matter of the image; non-essential objects may be removed, and parts of the original image can be "moved" to a different position in the image. Sky replacements are OK unless the sky is the main subject..
    ♦ Generative AI must not be used.

    Timing:
    Get your images posted by March 04. As always, you can vote during the entire contest plus one day after the image submission deadline. I'll post reminders.

    The photo:
    The image was taken inside the Grand Masters Palace in Rhodos, Greece.
    I can assure that in reality everything looked much more shining and beautiful, unfortunately I and my camera couldn't record the scene in its full glory. Mixed lighting didn't help ether.
    I hope you can restore something of this in post[processing] :)
    You can find the SOOC jpg image below and here’s a link to the RAW image (Fuji x100v)

    Lots of potential here.

    My first try. Using masks to brighten up the wall hanging and the rh chair. Give it a general tidy up. I may have overdone it a bit though.

    My "natural" attempt ended up being very similar to ErikWithaK's post above.

    Pardon my continuing interest in deadline date/times, here's the HTML source code for Arvo's post:

    <time itemprop="datePublished" datetime="2026-03-05T07:17:05.328998**+00:00**">
          March 5, 2026, 2:17 a.m.
        </time>

    ... where "+00:00" in green means UTC

    So my (Houston) deadline was March 5 (today) at 2:17 am.

    Looks like FireFox or Misago converted UTC green to my local time in white ...

    ... and maybe they converted his local time to UTC.

    It was posted 05.03.2026 at 09:17 local time (GMT+2) then. Yes, Misago (as most global software) stores dates in UTC and converts on the fly.

    I have said once or twice that if I write "...posted by March 04" then that means I'll usually close it somewhen between 09:00 and 10:00 (local time) in morning of 5th March (much later on weekends, sorry). This should allow even most US people submit their images before deadline :) Australians may get bored though :(

    Thanks, I didn't know that for sure.

    Understood before, I think. So you are currently located in +2 standard time zone, closing somewhere between March 5 11:00 and 12:00 UTC.
