    • the edited version gathering most likes within a week or so, wins and its author will start next round

    Perhaps you could consider adding a rule saying that multiple versions from a member should be posted in a separate post for each version.

    Otherwise you could end up with a situation where someone submits say 4 versions in a single post.

    You could have 4 people liking a different version of the set of 4 edits clicking the post and the post ends up with 4 likes when in reality each of the 4 versions is liked by only 1 member.

    Just some food for thought 😊

    I kinda intended that with next rule, but it is quite likely that my poor english interfered somehow:

    @ArvoJ has written:

    anyone (except author of original image) can edit the presented image, up to three distinct edits (in separate posts) are permitted

    For next round we could clarify that; there are some other minor changes in my mind, but I'll not introduce them yet.

    Capture one supports layers afaik so after you return home you can have a go at "switching on" street lights and adding glows to windows as described earlier.

    Wow - you've changed the whole concept of that image to something that could have come from the 18th century. I love it.

    Agreed.
    One intention of this thread is to find or create totally different concepts, especially ones, what original image author has even not imagined. There are already few examples of such processing here, I'm grateful :)

    Well OK, Here's staying with "normal" lighting but concentrating on something the author may have missed.
    The real action in the shot is as shown here. This was a beer tasting event of the Hansa Brewery products and the general conclusion was that after tasting only three small beers the passers-by started to look somehow blurred ??
    They began to wonder what would happen after the fourth,...

    Good catch :)
    Considering that in some parts of our country 'hansa' is the synonym for home distilled moonshine, it may be not very far from truth...

    I wonder if it would be more appropriate for the member who submits the starter image to choose which edit they like the most. The creator of that edit can then post the next starter image.

    The current "judge" can still take into account the number of 'likes' for an edit.
