I have and like the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM. Does the TTArtisan lens offer any advantage over it, besides the wider aperture? (And is it very sharp at that aperture?) The lack of autofocus would keep me from using it as much, but it’s cheap.

    Thanks in advance.

As you may know, there are some reviews on the lens in YouTube. One of them is from Christopher.

I have no experience of the lens. But since I have EFM 22mm, which is compact enough, I can not find a good reason to add TTartisan 23mm to my bag. I am not sure if I can enjoy the difference between their apertures.

Sigma 23mm 1.4 for EFM would be very attractive. But it is big and expensive. Moreover, it won't happen as Canon ended their M line.

I was still on the fence after watching Christopher Frost’s review. But the consensus is that it’s just bad wide open.

Pete Coco likes the image quality and says it needs to be stepped down a little for sharp images.

Andrew Branch hates the image quality and says it must be stepped down a lot because of field curvature.

(None of these reviewed the Canon version.)

I’d hoped the TTArtisans lens would be an interesting alternative, but with its apparent flaws and the EF-M 22mm f/2 being so sharp and inexpensive, I’ll just keep the latter fused to my M100 body.
