Whilst waiting for Reala Ace via firmware.

I use Reala Ace (Xtrans5) recipe from Fuji X Weekly. Photos taken on Amami-Oshima (a sub-tropical island in southern Japan).

Let's see yours, too. Any film sim or "recipe". Just keep it fun, that's all.

While I highly appreciate the work of X Weekly , the Reala ace we see here is really far away from the Reala in the camera X100VI which is much more contrasty with deep blacks and pronounced highlights and much more subtle as well.

Could very well be the case.

I sometimes "tweak" recipes a little to taste. The light and exposure could also change the look in some shots.

I've got the X100VI and have tried reala ace. I think I prefer Provia.

Alan, could you post some photos taken with the new film sim (one of these days)?

I've looked at many Reala Ace film scans online, they are not quite the same as the few samples I've seen from the 2 new Fuji cameras. I think I prefer the film version.

Have a look here dprevived.com/t/my-fujifilm-x100vi-initial-review/5616/ - there's 4 pictures that I know are Reala Ace.
