Finally some interesting RF-S lens patents (EF-S 15-85 successor designs?)

By image height, it looks like patent applications for APS-C lens designs:

• 15-70mm F2.8-4 IS
• 15-70mm F4 IS
• 15-85mm F2.8-5.6 IS
• 16-85mm F2.8-5.6 IS

Unfortunately all of these are the kind that requires lens-correction at the wide end. But I guess I will have to learn to live with that ....

Personally all three designs going down to 15mm in the wide end sounds interesting to me. I really hope one of these will materialize and end in front of my EOS R7.

I'd love to see that 15-85 variant come to production...as long as it's a good lens. Canon needs to get serious about APS-C glass if they really want to sell the bodies.

These would be interesting to see. Can't decide whether I'd prefer the 15-70 or 15-85, since the former looks pretty good at f2.8-4.
