It's 72! A week ago we had 8"+ of new snow and lows in the low 20's. What a change.
Went for an 11 mile bike ride today and came home to find these first blooms.

Well more than we have Jim, and warmer too! It is 12 C here late afternoon. Very bright and sunny though so no complaints. Back from a couple of days away and working with this site on my phone is not fun so I just gave up on the idea. I could not get logged into my account on my android tablet and gave up on that as well.

We just have the crocuses and some small purple flowers up on the property and the hellebores. Spring is a nice time of year! We went for a 220 km drive but that takes a different kind of effort than your bike ride!

Spring has definitely sprung ..nice to see ... Locally the dogwood are coming into full bloom, many of the other flowering trees are through for the year. The crocus came and went, looking forward to the lilies making a serious try to bloom ...

Nice to see some spring flowers. It's springing along here too at last, maybe around 10 °C midday the last two days. And sun! Forecast says we can't expect much more the coming 10 days, but that's a lot better than we've had lately.

Up against some rocks or the foundation Jim? They get added warmth that way. They are doing well! I am not seeing much new activity in our gardens other than the hellebores seem to be picking up a bit after being crushed by ice and snow.

Those are some stones we have in the garden about 2' from the street.
It was all buried under a 4' snow bank a week ago.

The crocus are going strong. This is the same cluster I posted before but some blues have joined the chorus.

Then a new group started singing over by the other side of the yard.

Now you are just showing off Jim!

Our daffodils have begun to open. Windy today if it is calmer tomorrow I will try to get a few shots.

I guess it's fair that you two get flowers early, considering your winters.

Here's our dahlia and day lily garden at Sequoia Park.

I like the red and white tulip Rich. I would plant a bunch of those! Your day lilies are much further along than ours. That said, I have no idea how long it takes to get from where ours are to where yours are. Perhaps not that long!

We have a few more flowers beginning to bloom. We should after all the 80 degree days this week. Next week promises the 40's though so that should put the brakes on things.

Daffodil are just beginning to open.

This is the first bloodroot bloom - with MANY more to follow.

And these Squill are adding a little color as the Snowdrops pass.

Thanks, Andrew. I was happy to find the tulips. I shot them in a strong wind and had plenty of light to stop them. Rich

We have hundreds of those Siberian Squill Jim. Also the daffodils are up. Not sure about the blood root because it is in a hidden area and I would have to go and look. At the moment I am beat. Sitting here drinking a Coors Light. Did the tractor work today and was close to lying on the ground when complete to take a nap. Was already on the ground and had no energy left in the tank. I should go out and take some shots but I can not summon up the energy! I think we have had about the same weather as you have. Not sure of the temperature this afternoon but it was 26 C yesterday afternoon. My wife made me turn on the air conditioner. It was 9 over night but apparently not enough breeze coming in the window.

That must be lovely. Sorry to hear you were so worn out yesterday - hope you're feeling better today. We got a lot of clean up done in the garden yesterday - called it quits by 1pm and did less strenuous things the rest of the day. We did a little longer day Wednesday, and have another 1/2 day worth of work to finish the cleanup.

Today is 40 degrees colder than yesterday and it's raining rather than clear and sunny. The more daffodils are blooming anyway.

These white ones are a little droopy - guess the rain is too heavy for them.
