Shot was JPG straight out of camera.
The camera is much lighter than I expected and the handling/ergonomics isn’t as horrible as others have opined. This is such a unique camera and I applaud sigma for making it in the first place. I am looking forward to many years of images with it

The dp2 Quattro is heavy when you come from a 355g DP2 Merrill. The DP2 Merrill is heavy when you come from a 260g DP2.
Luckily for you, the fp + 45mm (422g + 215g) is heavy when you come from a 410g dp2 Quattro. It's all relative.
As a regular user of DSLRs, I think these weight differences are negligible. I will take a heavier body with better battery life any day.
But not in a coat pocket obviously, and that's where a camera like the DP2 Merrill shines, you can have that superb image quality always with you.
The Quattro's are super unique cameras, real daring in their design and of course the daring of Foveon inside.
I recommanded you shoot .x3f raw and process files with SPP (Sigma Photo Pro, it's free), use the latest version that works with your OS, this is the best resource of all versions -

also try the SFD mode (needs capture on a tripod) - when you've got used to the camera and SPP.
Also keep a look out for the official Sigma viewfinder, it's incredible - but adds a lot of bulk.
