I just picked up a P7800 in Excellent condition (the camera looks brand new) from e-bay and took it out today for the first time. I read a lot about this camera in the DPReview forum so I thought I'd pick one up. Here are some of the first shots, of flowers and the doggies. It definitely is not the fastest camera around, as far as photos recording to the memory card, but results seem to be very good.

    Nice shots!

PS: I still use mine, with a SanDisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s card to minimize write-to-card delay.

Same here. SanDisk Extreme pro. Write time is slow, but perfectly acceptable.
The EVF is poor, by today standarts. But perfectly usable, with 100% coverage, and all shooting parameters visible. I use mine all the time.

Like AndreBarelier noted, the EVF is certainly nothing to write home about but it does work and is clear, if not representative of the actual colors. It does help to have an EVF, although I am getting used to using cameras without one, like the Z30.

Very nice photos from the P7800, your flowers are in full bloom and lovely sunshine, I guess you are well south!

Thanks! We are actually in Northern California (Bay Area). We had lots and lots of rain this winter so everything is already blooming (as I can attest by my allergies) :)

Very nice photos! And as stated before, the P7800 potential and output is so good. "DSLR-like material". I remember wanting that camera too. Such a gem. Aged very well.
